Measure the rigid foundation and every doorway, landing, and elevator turn before pickup day. Start with the object, then follow its complete path to the truck.
Start with the box spring, not the mattress
Record width, length, and depth at the widest rigid points. A mattress may bend through a turn that a foundation cannot. Note whether the base is one piece or split into two sections.
Follow the route in order
Measure the bedroom door, hallway, stair landing, elevator opening, lobby door, and final exit. Record the narrowest clear width after handles, rails, and fixed trim.
Check the turns, not only the openings
A doorway can be wide enough while the space beyond it is too shallow to rotate a queen or king foundation. Photograph each tight corner from both sides.

- Distance from the exit to legal loading
